SAN FRANCISCO — Can the Golden State Warriors regain their winning streak with the return of Steph Curry?
After five consecutive losses, the Warriors struggled without their star player, who was sidelined due to a right knee sprain. However, Curry is now back in the Warriors’ starting lineup for a crucial game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chase Center.
Coach Steve Kerr confirmed during his pregame press conference that Curry would return to the court against the Thunder, providing a much-needed offensive boost for the team. The lineup will feature Curry alongside Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.
Having passed all his pregame tests, Curry is set to make his comeback after missing two games. Kerr did not specify if there would be any minutes restriction for Curry in his first game back.
Curry was performing at an MVP level before his injury, averaging 30.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 11 games this season. The team’s offense has struggled in Curry’s absence, scoring just 105 points per game in the last two losses.
The Warriors are eager to end their losing streak and with Curry’s return, they hope to secure a victory against the Thunder on Saturday.
