Steph Curry starting Warriors-Thunder after missing two games originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The Warriors are set to receive a significant boost at a critical time. With five consecutive losses, Golden State has been struggling offensively in the absence of their main player, Steph Curry, who missed the previous two games due to a right knee sprain.
However, Curry is making a comeback in the Warriors’ starting lineup for the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chase Center.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Curry would return to the court against the Thunder, barring any setbacks during pregame warmups. In his pregame press conference, Kerr didn’t specify if Curry would be on a minutes restriction in his first game back since the injury.
Prior to the injury, Curry was displaying an MVP-level performance, averaging 30.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 11 games. The Warriors’ offense struggled without Curry, averaging just 105 points per game in their recent losses to Minnesota and Oklahoma City.
With Curry back in the lineup, the Warriors will aim to end their current losing streak against the Thunder on Saturday.
