The Wisconsin Badgers have witnessed several key players declare their decision to enter the transfer portal this offseason, following the portal’s official opening on December 4th.

December 4th
WR Skyler Bell
Skyler Bell is the first notable player who has announced his intention to transfer. The slot receiver is moving on after experiencing a decreased role due to the rise of Will Pauling this year.
Bell registered 38 catches for 296 yards and a touchdown in 2023 and still has two years of eligibility remaining.

WR Chimere Dike
The biggest news for the Badgers was the announcement of starting receiver Chimere Dike’s decision to enter the portal as a graduate transfer on Monday.
Dike, who recorded 47 passes for 689 yards and six touchdowns in 2022, saw a reduction in his role in Wisconsin’s new offense, catching only 19 passes for 328 yards and a touchdown.

WR Keontez Lewis
Keontez Lewis had previously declared his intention to transfer back in September after falling out of the receiver rotation. On Monday, he officially submitted the paperwork to proceed with his transfer as a graduate student.
Lewis is entering the portal as a graduate transfer and will be seeking his third collegiate football program.
December 1st
LB Ross Gengler
Walk-on linebacker Ross Gengler has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, leaving with two years of eligibility.
Gengler served as a reserve during his time at Wisconsin and had turned down various D-II and D-III offers to join the Badgers as a walk-on in 2020.

OL Dylan Barrett
Dylan Barrett was the first Wisconsin Badger to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
A redshirt junior with two years of eligibility left, Barrett was occasionally part of the two-deep at center when Jake Renfro was injured, but was primarily the third-string center.
