Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is expected to participate in Thursday night’s game against the Broncos, according to a source close to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Kelce is currently listed as questionable due to a right ankle injury. He participated in limited practice on Tuesday, which was the only session the Chiefs had this week.

In the previous game against the Minnesota Vikings, Kelce injured his right ankle during the second quarter. However, he toughed it out and rejoined the game in the second half, ultimately catching a crucial touchdown pass.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes praised Kelce’s performance against the Vikings, labeling it as “legendary.”

“Witnessing how his ankle rolled and still being able to return to the field, play at a high level, and secure a game-winning touchdown demonstrates not only his exceptional talent but also his unwavering toughness. It’s the reason why he consistently shows up week after week. He’ll fight through any obstacle to be out there on the field,” Mahomes stated earlier this week.

Despite missing the season opener due to a knee injury, Kelce leads the Chiefs in receptions (27), receiving yards (222), and touchdown receptions (3).

ESPN’s Adam Teicher contributed to this report.
