Sheridan Generals and Steubenville Big Red Vie for Final Four Berth

THORNVILLE — This Friday evening at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium, three things will be quite evident. First off, the vibrant color red will be prominently displayed on the field and in the stands. Secondly, both teams will feature the recognizable “Block S” on their helmets. But most importantly, a lot will be at stake as the perennial powers and regional juggernauts, Sheridan and Steubenville, collide for the Division IV, Region 15 championship.

The game’s kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and the winner will go on to play either Cincinnati Wyoming or Kettering Alter, with the final game’s location to be determined later by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

The upcoming showdown marks the first time these two teams have faced off since the Generals pulled off a shocking 22-18 victory against the then top-ranked, undefeated Big Red back in 2004. This time around, the stakes are even higher.
