The Southeastern Conference and the University of South Carolina are proud to announce their role as hosts of the highly anticipated 2023 SEC Cross Country Championships. This exciting event will take place on Friday at the stunning Charwood Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C. The SEC Network will broadcast the meet live, providing viewers with a front-row seat to the thrilling action.

The men’s 8K race will kick off the day’s events at 10:08 a.m. ET, followed by the women’s 6K race at 10:50 a.m. ET. A prestigious awards ceremony will then take place after the women’s race. What’s even better? Admission to the 2023 SEC Cross Championships is absolutely free, allowing the public to witness the country’s finest athletes compete for glory. This will be South Carolina’s fourth time hosting the SEC Cross Country Championships, an honor they haven’t had since 2010.

The excitement continues to build as seven SEC teams have secured spots among the nation’s top-25 teams, according to the latest rankings. In the women’s rankings, Florida impressively holds the seventh position, while Arkansas, Alabama, and Ole Miss follow closely at 11th, 13th, and 18th, respectively. On the men’s side, Arkansas dominates the SEC, securing the eighth spot in the national rankings. Tennessee and Alabama also make their presence known at 13th and 22nd, respectively.

Defending their titles from last year, Alabama swept both the men’s and women’s championships. However, it’s important to note that Arkansas holds the record for the most SEC men’s and women’s titles, with an impressive 27 and 22 titles, respectively.
