Seahawks Mostly Healthy, Leonard Williams Ready For His Debut & Other Notes Ahead Of Week 9 Game at Baltimore

During this week’s practice, the field was buzzing with talented players, including the newly acquired defensive end Leonard Williams. His presence has made quite an impression since his recent trade.

“He exceeded our expectations,” said Carroll enthusiastically. “He was outstanding. He quickly grasped the scheme, principles, and everything we threw at him. He’s definitely going to get some playing time.”

Regarding Haynes, who has been sidelined for the past three games due to a calf injury, Carroll stated, “He had a good practice today. He was out there giving his all, and Damien Lewis was equally impressive.”

When asked if Haynes would be on the field for the upcoming game, Carroll responded, “We’ll have to monitor his progress throughout the week and consult with the doctors. It’s still uncertain.”

About Bradford, who filled in at right guard for the last three games in Haynes’ absence, Carroll mentioned, “He wasn’t able to do much today. We’ll have to wait and see.”

As for McIntosh and Faoliu, both players participated in full practice. However, in order for them to play, the Seahawks will need to make a roster move by Saturday to add them to the 53-man roster.

“They’re both fully involved in practice and seem to be in sync,” Carroll commented. “It’s great to see them healthy and taking reps. It adds depth to our team.”

Carroll also assured that Jason Peters will be back on the field after making his Seahawks debut in the previous game. Peters, who is currently in his 20th season, shared time at right tackle with Stone Forsythe. Carroll previously expressed no concerns about rotating players in that position. Peters will need to be elevated from the practice squad to participate in Sunday’s game.
