When the Seahawks face off against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, they’ll have the added firepower of running back Kenny McIntosh and receiver Dareke Young, both of whom have been activated from injured reserve.
To make room for McIntosh and Young, cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly was waived. Additionally, tackle Jason Peters was elevated from the practice squad for the third consecutive game, providing depth at both tackle and guard positions.
McIntosh, who sustained a knee injury in August, has been practicing for the past three weeks and is ready to contribute. Meanwhile, Young, who recently returned to practice after undergoing surgery for an abductor injury, is primed to make an impact on special teams.
Seahawks’ coach Pete Carroll expressed confidence in both McIntosh and Young, noting their impressive performances in practice leading up to the game against the Washington Commanders.
