Vanderbilt basketball commences its season against Presbyterian on Tuesday at Memorial Gymnasium, debuting a revamped lineup.
The Commodores retain starting guards Ezra Manjon and Tyrin Lawrence, but the frontcourt underwent significant changes. Departures include Jordan Wright, Myles Stute, Liam Robbins, and Quentin Millora-Brown, with new additions from both transfers (Evan Taylor, Tasos Kamateros, Ven-Allen Lubin) and younger players taking on expanded roles (Colin Smith, Lee Dort).
Vanderbilt’s objective this season is to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament after consecutive NIT appearances. The team’s schedule primarily consists of home games, with a few high-profile non-conference matchups on the road and at neutral sites. Prior to January, the Commodores face only one power conference opponent at home, Boston College in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
Last week, coach Jerry Stackhouse stated that Dort was unlikely to play against the Blue Hose due to a foot injury.
