Robyn Choi of the Epson Tour took the lead at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove during the third round of LPGA Q-Series. Choi’s bogey-free 64 moved her into solo first place after starting the day in a tie for 15th. Other players also took advantage of the day off to rest and improve their positions on the leaderboard before the cut line is determined.
Choi’s impressive performance included a string of pars on the front nine and back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12. She finished her round with three birdies on holes 14 to 16, demonstrating her confident and aggressive play. Choi’s consistent play throughout the year and her focus on “smart aggressive” has been pivotal in her success at the LPGA Q-Series.
Following closely behind Choi are Mao Saigo, Hyo Joon Jang, and Mina Harigae, each just one shot behind in a tie for second place. Additionally, several players recorded impressive eight-under par rounds on the Crossings Course, including Diksha Dagar, Lauren Stephenson, and Mariajo Uribe.
