Richland County puts 15 on All-MOAC boys soccer list

MANSFIELD — Fifteen Richland County boys soccer players have received All-Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference honors, according to an announcement by the league.

Ontario and Clear Fork players have been recognized for their outstanding performances in 2023.

The Warriors, who secured the MOAC championship, have seven players on the list, including first teamers Dante McGinty, Hector Sanchez-Vidal, and Jace Young. McGinty, the team’s second-leading scorer with seven goals and four assists, primarily played as a full-time goalie and recorded 59 saves throughout the year. Sanchez-Vidal led the team with 11 goals and eight assists, while Young contributed with one goal and eight assists from the midfield. Ezra Pearce, Pablo Sanchez-Vidal, and Austin Boughton were included as second team honorees, and Evan Ruhe received an honorable mention.

The Colts have eight players on the list. Liam Beer, Connor Hauger, Jaden Beachy, and Bronson Frost have been selected as first team honorees. Beer scored one goal but stood out as a defensive leader, contributing to six shutouts for the team. Hauger was the top scorer for the Colts with 19 goals and 16 assists, while Beachy recorded nine goals and 12 assists. Frost added one goal and one assist from a defensive position.
