The Raiders are kicking off a three-game homestand this Sunday against the Chiefs and are urging their fans to give them a crucial home-field advantage. Allegiant Stadium hasn’t always had a strong home-field advantage, partly due to the population of Las Vegas being made up of tourists and transplants.
However, interim head coach Antonio Pierce and the players have noticed a shift in energy from the crowd in recent wins over the Giants and Jets. With a 4-1 home record this season and four of their final six games at home, the team is eager to keep the momentum going and stay in the playoff hunt.
Wide receiver Davante Adams expressed his intentions of making Allegiant Stadium a tough place for opposing teams to play in, stating, “We’re starting to feel that from our fans now, so we just gotta continue to do our part, team-wise, to make sure we apply that pressure and make it a not fun place to come here and play.”
Pierce, who didn’t play for the Raiders in Oakland, is determined to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the fanbase in Oakland, stating, “Allegiant Stadium has to be ours . . . That Black Hole has to be real.”
The recent coaching change and two consecutive wins have energized the Raiders fanbase, and a victory against the Chiefs would provide even more excitement as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.
