We had a delightful end to the workweek, with weather that was above average. The temperatures reached the low 70s, a touch higher than what we usually experience. However, this is the last time we’ll see warmer-than-usual conditions during the day until at least next week. Along with the cooler air brought by a dip in the jet stream, we can also expect some stormy weather. The worst of it is expected tomorrow.
Through tonight: As we head into the evening, the skies will remain clear before clouds start to increase later on. Temperatures will drop from the mid-60s at sunset to lows in the 50 to 55 range. Winds will be light from the northeast. There is a slight chance of a shower developing near sunrise.
Tomorrow (Saturday): Rain is likely throughout the day, although the exact amount and duration are still uncertain. Showers will become more frequent in the morning and are probable in the afternoon and evening. If the rain starts later in the day, we may see around a quarter of an inch. However, if the rain starts in the morning and lasts longer, we could see half an inch to an inch in the north and east. There might be a rumble of thunder in the afternoon as a brief surge of milder air arrives, resulting in highs ranging from near 60 to the mid-60s.
Sunday: The storm off the coast will move away to the northeast, reducing the threat of rain by morning. However, we can expect numerous clouds and gusty winds from the north and northwest. Highs will be around 60 degrees.
