Packers list 10 on injury report ahead of game vs. Broncos

GREEN BAY, Wis. — If Green Bay Packers’ injury report is any indication, it’s hard to believe they had a bye week.

Head Coach Matt LaFleur revealed that 10 players made it to the final injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Among them, nine are listed as questionable, while linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (ankle) is doubtful.

“It’s almost like we just played a game last week,” LaFleur remarked.

The Packers had their last game on October 9, a loss to the Raiders, during which Campbell was already sidelined as he has been since Week 3.

Aaron Jones, the running back who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1, was unexpectedly scratched from the game against the Raiders. This setback occurred just after he made his comeback the previous week. Additionally, linebacker Quay Walker (knee) and safety Darnell Savage (calf) also succumbed to injuries during the game. Although cornerback Jaire Alexander (back) returned to face the Raiders, he encountered further issues with his back during late-week practice sessions.

The availability of four more players remains uncertain, namely left guard Elgton Jenkins (knee), tackle Yosh Nijman (knee), safety Zayne Anderson (hamstring), cornerback Eric Stokes (foot), and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (knee), all of whom are listed as questionable.

Alexander and Jenkins spark the most uncertainty. Both players were the only ones who did not participate in Friday’s practice.

In the event that Alexander isn’t able to play, Stokes could potentially fill in for him. The first-round pick from 2021 has been practicing since October 3, following his season-ending injury last November. However, he still needs to be activated off the physically unable to perform list.

Jones successfully completed a full week of practice. Earlier on, he expressed optimism regarding his chances of playing on Sunday.

Yet, Coach LaFleur refrained from guaranteeing his involvement. “He looked pretty good,” said LaFleur. “He was limited [in practice all week], so, we’ll see how he’s feeling.”
