The Wildcats’ win marked the second straight season they have defeated Purdue, making them the seventh program since 2010-11 to accomplish such a feat. Their first victory against a top-ranked team came last season, with a 64-58 win over the Boilermakers on Feb. 12.
Zach Edey put on an impressive performance for Purdue with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Buie’s heroics for Northwestern.
