Norris takes responsibility for F1 Las Vegas track accident

Lando Norris of McLaren experienced a heavy crash on the third lap of the race. His car lost control at Turn 11, due to a bump on the track. His team boss, Andrea Stella, proposed flattening the bump for the next race. Speaking for the first time since the accident, Norris suggested his crash was caused by multiple factors, including cold tires, lower ride heights, and reduced downforce. Despite this, he downplayed the idea of the track needing change.

Even in the immediate aftermath of the crash, Norris felt okay. He was taken to a local hospital for checks but was overall fine. He admitted that he felt frustrated over missing the race, especially after seeing his teammate Oscar Piastri’s strong performance. Although disappointed, he acknowledged that crashes are an unavoidable part of racing. He recognized that it was his first crash since Spa 2021 and that it was just an unlucky moment.
