Men’s Cross Country | 11/16/23 | 10:19 AM
HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College Cross Country will compete at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in Vancouver, Wash. on Friday November 17.
Carroll qualified for the National meet with their Frontier Conference team wins for both the women and men. Carroll’s women are currently ranked 17th nationally while the men are ranked 18th. Montana Tech and Rocky Mountain College will also take men’s and women’s teams to the meet after earning at-large bids based on their rankings within the national Top 25.
For each Saints squad, 7 competitors will be able to race in the championship competition. This will include Carroll’s All-Conference selections in Zack Gacnik, Connor O’Hara, Brycen Gardner, Zach Rector, Isabelle Ruff, Anna Terry, and Hannah Sempf.
“It has been our goal this week to stay hungry and to keep building belief in our big goals for this meet,” said Head Coach Shannon Flynn. “In both the men’s and women’s races, it is incredibly tight from teams ranked about 12th through 25th. Where teams end up will depend on who can bring the most people to the line with the right mindset and intensity, and we have a lot of faith that we have prepared as well as we can for that to be us.”
The races will take place at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Friday with the Women’s 6k at 10:30 am Pacific and the Men’s 8k at 11:30 am Pacific.
