NFL Week 6 grades: Cowboys earn a ‘B+’ for Monday night win, Browns get an ‘A’ for shocking victory over 49ers

Welcome to the Week 6 grades! The NFL has experienced some unexpected twists and turns this week, courtesy of the Cleveland Browns. They pulled off a remarkable upset with a 19-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, who were heavily favored by 9.5 points. The Browns’ win was even more astonishing considering their history of never beating undefeated teams. Since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Browns had a dismal record of 0-12 against undefeated teams with a 5-0 or better record. However, they finally broke that streak with their win over San Francisco. On the other hand, the 49ers’ loss put an end to their 15-game regular-season winning streak, which was tied for the longest in franchise history.

Not to be outdone, the New York Jets also pulled off a massive upset in the late window when they stunned the Philadelphia Eagles. This victory marked the first time in franchise history that the Jets have beaten the Eagles. It’s worth noting that prior to this year, the Jets had a winless record of 0-12 against the Eagles. This unexpected outcome opened the door for the Dallas Cowboys to close the gap in the NFC East, and they took full advantage by defeating the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night.
