The Mets have made significant additions to David Stearns‘ front office, appointing Eduardo Brizuela, Andy Green, and Kris Gross to key roles.
Brizuela will assume the position of vice president and special assistant to Stearns, where he will contribute to player development, roster management, player acquisition, and the day-to-day activity of the major league team. His 15-year tenure with the Brewers organization has equipped him with valuable experience in this domain.
Green, with 13 years of coaching and managerial experience, including a recent stint as the bench coach for the Cubs and previous management of the Padres, takes on the role of senior vice president of player development, overseeing the Mets’ player development apparatus.
Gross, who spent 11 seasons with the Astros and the last four as the team’s director of amateur scouting, joins the Mets as the vice president of amateur scouting, bringing a wealth of expertise in identifying talent for the organization.
In a press release, Stearns expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions, stating, “The additions of Eduardo, Andy, and Kris will bolster an already talented staff. Each of these individuals bring valuable experience and perspective to Queens. We are excited to get to work on building an organization with the goal of a sustainable winning culture.”
