Nebraska Volleyball Aims to Conclude Regular Season Strong with No. 5 Wisconsin & Minnesota Matches

The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team is set to close out its impressive regular-season form in upcoming road matches at No. 5 Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The Huskers secured the outright Big Ten title in a 3-0 win at Iowa, and they will now face the fifth-ranked Badgers on Friday, at 3 p.m. at UW Field House in Madison, Wis. The match will be televised on Big Ten Network and streamed on Fox Sports.

Nebraska will then wrap up the regular season at Minnesota on Saturday at 8 p.m., with coverage also provided by Big Ten Network and FoxSports.

Nebraska’s Radio Network will broadcast all the action on their radio affiliates, including 107.3 FM in Lincoln and 105.9 FM (Friday) and AM 590 (Saturday) in Omaha. A live audio stream will be provided at Huskers.com and on the Huskers app.

John Baylor is in his 30th season doing play-by-play for the Husker volleyball program, and Lauren (Cook) West, a former All-American setter for the Huskers, will provide color commentary.

Nebraska (27-0, 18-0 Big Ten) is off to an impressive start to the season, having clinched the outright Big Ten title and aiming for a strong finish. Defensively, the Huskers lead the nation with their opponents hitting percentage at .131. Offensively, the team ranks 11th nationally with a .286 hitting percentage.

Nebraska boasts standout players such as All-American libero Lexi Rodriguez and junior opposite hitter Merritt Beason, as well as an impressive lineup of underclassmen making their mark.

The upcoming matches against No. 5 Wisconsin and Minnesota are critical as the Huskers look to maintain their perfect season and build momentum heading into the postseason.

Nebraska is ranked No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll and is led by AVCA Hall of Famer John Cook, who is in his 24th season as head coach. Cook has led the Huskers to four national championships, 10 final fours, and 13 conference championships.
