The Brooklyn Nets could use a win, even though it’s not essential at the moment. The team is in need…
The Nets are facing some hardships – both literally and figuratively. This includes the absence of injured players like Ben Simmons (back) and Cam Thomas (ankle). This has resulted in consecutive losses to the Heat and 76ers. However, a recent injury status update should bring some relief to fans.
The game against the Atlanta Hawks is of particular significance, given that the Hawks are amongst the top scorers in the NBA, averaging 122.4 points per game.

Brooklyn Nets Injury Update…
- Ben Simmons (left lower back nerve impingement) is continuing to improve with treatment and has started light individual court work. Simmons’ status will be updated again in 7-10 days.
- Dennis Smith Jr. underwent an MRI confirming a lower back sprain. He is listed as day-to-day after missing one game and is receiving treatment.
- Cam Thomas (left ankle sprain) has shown significant improvement, cleared for increased on-court activity, and is on track to rejoin team activities soon.
The Game: From our Preview…
“Relatively speaking, home back-to-backs are better than the alternative. After Friday night’s loss to the Sixers, the Hawks got a few days off and have been home relaxing all week. If the NBA is going to keep the B2Bs going, that’s the best way to do it.
One field goal attempt. That’s what happened for Mikal Bridges on Sunday after he took it to the Sixers to the tune of 16 points in the first half. When you’re the team’s best player, you have to insist on getting the ball and making something happen. For Bridges, that means going for his own shot a bit more and forcing the issue when the time calls for it.”
