The Nashville Predators are desperate for a victory as they continue their western road trip against the struggling Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Saturday.
Nashville suffered a 4-2 defeat in Seattle on Thursday, marking their third loss in four games. The Predators are currently 0-2 on this trip, with three more games to go.
On the other hand, Edmonton has struggled since their 6-1 victory over Nashville on October 17, losing five out of their last six games.

End of second period: Predators 4, Oilers 2
The second period was filled with action.
Ryan O’Reilly found the net early in the period, battling for position in front of the net and capitalizing on a rebound to give the Predators a 2-1 lead.
During a power play following Evander Kane’s high-sticking penalty, the Predators extended their lead to 3-1. O’Reilly scored his second goal of the game on a back-door play.
The Oilers responded with a power play goal of their own, taking advantage of Alexandre Carrier’s holding penalty. Edmonton maintained control of the puck in the offensive zone, and Zach Hyman scored to bring the score to 3-2. Predators defenseman Jeremy Lauzon displayed incredible resilience, blocking three shots during this sequence. However, Lauzon suffered an injury and had to leave the ice temporarily, but he quickly returned to the bench.
At 13:55, Tommy Novak scored to give the Predators a 4-2 lead.
End of first period: Predators 1, Oilers 1
Filip Forsberg quickly equalized the score less than a minute later with a wraparound goal, catching Oilers goalie Jack Campbell off guard.
The Oilers took an early 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Darnell Nurse.
Defenseman Ryan McDonagh, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, participated in warm-up but did not play. Marc Del Gaizo was called up from AHL Milwaukee and had the opportunity to take a “hot lap” during his NHL debut.
