Exciting NASCAR Champions Week in Nashville

NASCAR Champions Week in Nashville

GLADEVILLE – The city of Nashville will be buzzing with excitement as the NASCAR Champions Week takes over on Nov. 29-30. The thrilling event will shine the spotlight on Nashville Superspeedway, providing a captivating spectacle for fans of racing.

“It’s a great way to highlight racing in our area,” says Matt Greci, NSS Senior Vice President and General Manager. “It puts a good bookend on this season as we start preparing for the next one.”

Champions in NASCAR’s three touring series will be crowned at the Thursday, Nov. 30 ceremony in the Music City Center, and the road to the titles wound through Gladeville and the Superspeedway’s June races.

Excitingly, Ryan Blaney won the premier Cup championship, Cole Custer took the Xfinity title, and Ben Rhodes claimed the truck crown.

The championship ceremony will be preceded by a flurry of activities on Wednesday, including a NASCAR House with driver’s appearances and a Championship Car Parade down Broadway. The Superspeedway’s pace car will lead the parade.

The fact that NASCAR chose to hold its big 75th-anniversary season-ending event in Nashville indicates its attraction to the area’s booming sports market – and bodes well for the Superspeedway’s continued affiliation. NSS completes the fourth year of its NASCAR contract next season, and a renewal is anticipated.

“This is an important market for NASCAR, and we’re proud to be a part of it,” Greci says.

“There’s no place we’d rather return for our end-of-the-year celebration than Music City,” says NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer Pete Jung. “We are ecstatic to bring Champions Week back to Nashville for a fourth year. The energy of this city never goes unnoticed, and the fans’ dedication to the sport never fails.”

The Superspeedway’s fourth annual NASCAR tripleheader – Cup, Xfinity, and trucks – will be held June 28-30. Tickets and other information are available on the NSS website or by calling the track office at 1-866-RACE-TIX.
