NASCAR Announces Exciting Addition to TV Broadcast Lineup in Upcoming Deal

FOX Sports recently secured a deal, starting from the 2025 Cup Series season, to broadcast the first 14 races, while NBC will handle the final 14. TNT and a likely streaming partner, Amazon, will split the remaining ten races.

The details of the deal, such as its duration and financial terms, remained unclear as of Tuesday. An official announcement is scheduled for Wednesday in Nashville at NASCAR’s end-of-year awards ceremony.

NASCAR’s current broadcast deal with Fox Sports and NBC is set to end in 2024, with an initial run beginning in 2015 and an estimated worth of $8.2 billion over 10 years.

The current charter deal that splits the TV revenue between tracks, teams, and NASCAR also ends in 2024, with negotiations for a renewal ongoing. It is expected to include a change in the revenue distribution, favoring the teams.

NASCAR recently announced a seven-year deal to broadcast Xfinity Series races on the CW Network, starting from the 2025 season, with additional digital content available on CW’s platforms.

The broadcast arrangement for the Xfinity Series had previously involved Fox and NBC, similar to the current Cup deal structure between the two networks.
