Christian Ruud enjoyed a successful ATP career from 1991 to 2001, earning £1.1million in prize money.

Despite his achievements, it was Casper who surpassed his father’s legacy in February 2020, becoming Norway’s highest-ranked male player in history.

Christian, now coaching his son, welcomed Casper in December 1998 in Oslo, just weeks before competing in his final Australian Open.

Casper has already made a significant impact, reaching junior finals and achieving the world No1 ranking.
