Mudryk back in full training; James could start again; Broja in with a chance to play as well

As we gear up for the exciting clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night, Chelsea has been given additional preparation time this weekend. This extended period can also benefit players who are uncertain about their fitness for the upcoming match.

One key player of concern is Reece James, the club captain, who recently returned from a long-term injury and played for about an hour in the last match. Thankfully, Reecey has come through this phase unhurt. While it’s uncertain whether he will start two matches in a row, his chances of doing so in a Monday game are higher than in a Saturday fixture.

“We’ll first see if he’s available. Then I’ll decide whether to include him in the starting lineup or not. [He’s] our captain, a vital player for us. We need to assess his readiness to start on Monday.”

If James is on the bench, he might be accompanied by Armando Broja and Mykhalio Mudryk. Broja’s unexpected promotion and Mudryk’s return to full training have been confirmed by the official website.

“Today we were talking, and maybe [Broja] will be available on the bench for Monday. He is training today, and I hope he can be involved.”

Considering Nicolas Jackson’s recent difficulties, Broja has an excellent opportunity to compete for a starting position. Additionally, if Mudryk is fit, we may employ the successful lineup we used against Arsenal, with Cole Palmer as a false-nine, supported by Conor Gallagher in midfield, and Mudryk and Raheem Sterling on the wings.
