Former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez might be known as “The Underground King,” but the title of “King of Violence” belongs to Mike Perry.
Perry demonstrated his toughness in the BKFC 56 headliner by absorbing Alvarez’s punches and retaliating with powerful shots, ultimately leading to Alvarez’s corner stopping the fight after the second round.
The intense four-minute clash between Perry and Alvarez resulted in Alvarez confessing to his corner that he couldn’t see out of his swollen left eye, prompting them to call an end to the fight without a doctor’s examination.
Despite giving his all, Alvarez appeared disheartened by the outcome. Perry, unperturbed, had vowed to take the fight to Alvarez, and he stayed true to his word.
Perry stated, “I work on the head movement and sh*t, but the last fight went so easily, I just wanted to have a battle, so I let him get some shots off.” Perry emerged victorious once again, improving his BKFC record to 4-0 and solidifying his status as the face of BKFC since leaving the UFC in 2021.
Looking ahead, Perry called out the biggest name in the UFC to face him inside the circle, proposing that a matchup with Conor McGregor would be compelling due to his victory over someone McGregor fought for a world title.
Perry and McGregor previously engaged in a faceoff, and with the BKFC president voicing his dream of a McGregor BKFC fight, Perry is eager to step into the ring with the new “King of Violence.”
