Michigan trails behind Georgia in most recent AP Poll

The Michigan Wolverines dominated yet again, securing their second consecutive road victory by defeating the Golden Gophers of Minnesota with a score of 52-10. Although they lost a first place vote in the latest AP Poll, their performance remained undeniably dominant, much like their previous win against Nebraska.

Last week, the Wolverines received 12 first place votes, but that number decreased to 11 after their sixth victory of the season. However, despite the decrease in votes, they still maintain a comfortable position as the No. 2 ranked team in the AP Poll.

Georgia remains firmly in the top spot, receiving 50 first place votes and holding a significant lead of 70 points over the Wolverines.

Ohio State advances to No. 3, trailing the Wolverines by 81 points. They also received a first place vote following their 37-17 win against Maryland.

Florida State secures No. 4 after a comfortable victory over Virginia Tech, and they also earn a first place vote.

Oklahoma completes the top five, jumping seven spots after their thrilling win against Texas.

Penn State lands at No. 6 after a bye week. The Nittany Lions will face UMass next week before facing a crucial road game against Ohio State in two weeks.

No other Big Ten teams made it to the top 25 rankings, but Wisconsin, Maryland, and Iowa received votes.
