Meet Team USA’s female Artistic Gymnasts

Kayla DiCello: Pursuing Olympic Dreams and Eyeing Paris 2024

In her quest for Olympic glory, Kayla DiCello has taken a gap year from the University of Florida to focus on making it to the official roster of Team USA for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Having been listed as an alternate for the Tokyo Olympics, DiCello is determined to secure her place on the team. She’s also had the opportunity to be the traveling alternate for the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.

Despite being just one year into her NCAA career, DiCello has already made a remarkable impact in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). She has been named SEC Freshman of the Year and has earned the title of five-time All-American. Additionally, she has been recognized as the SEC Freshman of the Week on eight occasions. At the young age of 17, she even clinched the all-around bronze at the 2021 World Championships.

DiCello’s accomplishments extend beyond the World Championships. In 2022, she proudly represented the U.S. at the Rio Pan American Championships and achieved success by winning the floor gold and securing the team silver.

Katelyn Jong: Rising Star Making Waves in Gymnastics

Katelyn Jong, an impressive talent who earned an individual qualification, is eagerly anticipating her first appearance at the Senior Pan American Games. Her incredible performances at the Junior Games in 2021, where she won the all-around and team gold, as well as securing gold in the all-around, team, vault, and bars at the Junior Pan American Championships, have paved the way for her senior debut.

In her senior debut at the 2022 Winter Cup, Jong displayed her skills and versatility by placing fifth all-around. Later that year, she continued to impress by winning the gold on floor at the Szombathely Challenge Cup in Hungary. At just 17 years old, she is currently a high school senior eagerly looking forward to joining Auburn University.
