LSU vs. Alabama, Washington vs. USC and more

The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season have been released, and the Week 10 schedule is packed with exciting matchups. Not only are there five games between ranked teams, but there are also several ranked teams facing tough challenges from unranked opponents.

The drama began early on Saturday when Clemson narrowly defeated No. 15 Notre Dame with a 31-23 victory, despite some late mistakes by the Tigers. In another close game, No. 10 Ole Miss survived a scare against Texas A&M with a last-second blocked field goal. Texas also had a tough battle against Kansas State, needing a fourth-down stop in overtime to secure the win.

Later in the afternoon, No. 22 Oklahoma State continued the excitement with a 27-24 upset win over No. 9 Oklahoma in the final Bedlam rivalry game for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, Georgia held its own against a formidable Missouri team in a crucial SEC West clash.

At this stage of the season, there is so much at stake as teams compete for positions in both the CFP rankings and their respective conference standings. It promises to be a thrilling day of football.

The Huskies, currently undefeated and ranked No. 5 in the nation, have had some close calls in their recent games against Arizona State and Stanford. Washington relies on their star quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., who is the current betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. USC, on the other hand, has Caleb Williams, the reigning Heisman winner. With both teams struggling on defense, this game has the potential to be one of the best quarterback duels of the season and a chance for USC to turn their season around.

LSU may not have received much attention after their loss to Ole Miss, which dropped their record to 3-2. However, they have since won three consecutive games and hold a 4-1 record in conference play, thanks to impressive performances from quarterback Jayden Daniels. A victory in Tuscaloosa on Saturday would put LSU in an excellent position to reach the SEC title game. Alabama, on the other hand, still has aspirations for a national championship. Although not as explosive on offense as previous years, the team has benefited from Jalen Milroe’s solid play at quarterback and a strong defense.
