LSU Lady Tigers to Compete in Cayman Islands on Black Friday
George Town, Cayman Islands (WAFB) – This Black Friday, Kim Mulkey and the No. 7 LSU Lady Tigers will be taking the court in the Cayman Islands for the inaugural women’s Cayman Island Classic at John Gray Gymnasium.
The Lady Tigers will face off against Niagara on Friday, Nov. 24 at 12:30 p.m. CT, followed by a matchup against Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m.

LSU is on a five-game winning streak, with an offense that has been gaining chemistry and leading the SEC in field goal percentage at .514. Sa’Myah Smith and Flau’Jae Johnson are both top-five shooters in the SEC, while Mikaylah Williams ranks No. 9. Williams also holds the No. 3 spot in three-point shooting percentage in the SEC.
Johnson’s return to the court has been key for the Tigers, averaging 14.7 points in the three games since her return and leading the team in rebounding. Williams has been a standout starter, averaging 19.2 points per game and boasting a season-high 42 points in a single game.
Aneesah Morrow has also been a dominant force for the Tigers, averaging 13.3 points and 3.8 steals per game.
Niagara, the Lady Tigers’ first opponent, holds a 2-2 record and is known for their efficiency in three-point shooting. LSU will need to be on their guard against this strong shooting team.
