Regarding her future with the Los Angeles Sparks, Ogwumike discussed the importance of the organization’s commitment to growth and its impact on her decision. She mentioned her desire for the team to have a practice facility, similar to other organizations in the league. Ogwumike believes that teams with state-of-the-art facilities will be more enticing for players during free agency, along with factors like market, teammates, coaching staff, and the front office.

Finally, Ogwumike shared how her duties with the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) change during the offseason. She can attend meetings and collaborate with the WNBPA office, working towards shaping the future of the organization alongside executive director Terri Jackson and the staff.
