Looking to recover from an unexpected upset, LSU basketball will travel to Charleston, South Carolina to face Dayton at the Charleston Classic on Thursday (3 p.m., ESPN2).

LSU (1-1) suffered a shocking loss to Nicholls State, falling by as many as 24 points in the first half before clawing their way back into the game. Their one-point lead in the final moments was snatched away when Nicholls State’s Jalen White drained a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left, ultimately sealing the Tigers’ defeat.

Dayton (1-1) also started their season with a loss, falling to Northwestern 71-66 on the road.

The winner of Thursday’s game will advance to face the winner of North Texas vs. St. John’s on Friday.
