London and West Palm Beach, Fla. – LIV Golf announced the appointment of Lawrence J. Burian as Chief Operating Officer (COO) after an extensive international recruitment process. In his role as COO, Mr. Burian will have oversight of various responsibilities, including corporate development, strategy, the successful execution of LIV Golf’s global schedule of 14 LIV Golf League events, the management and commercialization of the league’s teams, the integration of the International Series, investor relations, sustainability efforts, events, production, information technology, human resources, procurement, and day-to-day business operations.

With a background as former Executive Vice President of the Madison Square Garden family of public companies, Mr. Burian brings extensive experience in the sports, entertainment, media, and hospitality sectors. Throughout his tenure at MSG Sports Corporation, MSG Entertainment Corporation, and MSG Networks, Mr. Burian played a key role in leading significant corporate and strategic transactions that enhanced the company’s portfolio and delivered long-term shareholder value. Notable holdings within the MSG portfolio included the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, MSG regional sports networks, iconic entertainment venues, and various other properties. Mr. Burian served in multiple executive roles, including Head of Corporate Development, General Counsel, and board member of strategic joint ventures.
