BELLEAIR, Fla. — Lindy Duncan is focused and determined to succeed. As she competes at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, she is reminded of her journey and the resilience she’s developed over the years.
Recalling a tough experience at the 2022 LPGA Q-Series, Duncan was sitting comfortably within the top-45 and ties cut-off until a mishap on the final hole threatened her status for the 2023 LPGA Tour season. However, despite her disappointment, she was ultimately able to secure a spot for the next season, although not of the full status she hoped for.
After a series of ups and downs, Duncan returned to the LPGA Tour and achieved her best result of solo third at the Dana Open, which significantly boosted her rankings in the Race to the CME Globe. This has granted her more playing opportunities and a chance to secure full status for 2024.
Currently sitting in a strong position at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, Duncan is determined to continue her impressive performance and move up in the Race to the CME Globe, ultimately securing her spot for next season.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Duncan remains grateful and focused on her game, aiming for consistent and solid golf as she works towards her first LPGA Tour title.
“It’s been a lot of work, and finally some belief, so put those two together and that’s a good thing,” Duncan said, reflecting on her journey and the progress she has made.
