Reports indicate that former Chicago White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn has returned to his former team, signing a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Lynn’s contract will pay him $10 million for the 2024 season, with a potential option for 2025 that could increase the total value to $26 million.

During the 2023 season, Lynn struggled with the White Sox before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. With the Dodgers, he performed better with a 7-2 record and a 4.36 ERA.
Prior to his time with the White Sox, Lynn spent six seasons with the Cardinals, achieving a World Series ring in 2011 and a National League pennant in 2013.
