In an article written for NBC Sports Boston, Jason McCourty suggested that Bill Belichick needs to assure team owner Robert Kraft that noticeable improvements will occur in the 2024 season and beyond, if Belichick wants to continue as Patriots head coach/general manager. McCourty proposes that Kraft and Belichick have a plan in place for the future. The Patriot’s current disastrous 2023 season has sparked speculation about Mac Jones’ future as the starting quarterback and Belichick’s job security. McCourty believes Belichick, despite his six Super Bowl titles, no longer has the benefit of the doubt.
