ABU DHABI – UFC 294 Event Fighters Earned $237,000 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance Pay

Fighters who participated in the UFC 294 event on Saturday took home a total of $237,000 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay. This program, which encompasses outfitting requirements, media obligations, and other aspects of the fighter code of conduct, replaced the previous payouts made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

The event, UFC 294, was held at the Etihad Arena and was broadcast on pay-per-view, with prelims available on ESPN+ and YouTube.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program, fighters are paid based on their number of UFC bouts, as well as their fights in the Zuffa-era WEC (January 2007 and later) and the Zuffa-era Strikeforce (April 2011 and later). The payout tiers for fighters vary, with those who have 1-3 bouts earning $4,000 per appearance, and those with 21 bouts or more receiving $21,000. In addition to this, champions earn $42,000, while title challengers receive $32,000.

Furthermore, UFC fighters will receive ongoing royalty payments ranging from 20-30% of any UFC merchandise sales featuring their likeness.

The total payout for the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program in 2023 thus far is $6,888,000, with the program-to-date total amounting to $21,407,000.
