Justin Fields estimated as limited practice participant

The Chicago Bears are getting closer to having their quarterback, Justin Fields, back on the field. Fields has been listed as a limited participant in practice after a recent walkthrough. This is a positive development as Fields has missed the past three games due to a dislocated right thumb, which he sustained during a game against the Vikings on October 15th.

Fields returned to practice last Friday, and according to Coach Matt Eberflus, his availability for Thursday Night Football will be determined later in the week. Eberflus stated, “We’ll literally see where it is today and then see where it goes from there,” indicating that Fields’ progress will be closely monitored.

The team website, as reported by Larry Mayer, mentioned that more information on Fields’ status will be provided on Wednesday. This will give a better understanding of how his recovery is progressing.

In other injury news, running back Khalil Herbert, receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, and cornerback Josh Blackwell have been designated to return from injured reserve. This opens up a 21-day window for their potential return. Fortunately, all three players participated in practice on Monday without any restrictions.

On the other hand, middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, tight end Cole Kmet, right guard Nate Davis, and cornerback Terrell Smith were estimated as non-participants on Monday. They are currently dealing with knee injuries, an ankle injury, and an illness, respectively.

In positive news, safety Jaquan Brisker has cleared concussion protocol and should be available for the upcoming game.

Unfortunately, fullback Khari Blasingame has been ruled out for Thursday’s game due to a concussion.
