Wingback Juan Cuadrado aims to recover in time for Inter Milan’s Serie A clash against Roma next Sunday.
According to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Juan Cuadrado is striving to return from his injury setback.
The former Juventus, Chelsea, and Fiorentina wingback has been grappling with injuries early in the season.
Despite this, the Colombian managed to play as a substitute in the first three matches of the campaign since joining Inter on a free transfer over the summer.
Unfortunately, Cuadrado sustained an injury during the September international break, later identified as tendinitis.
Consequently, he missed several matches upon his return from the break.
However, in Inter’s previous game against Bologna, the 35-year-old made an appearance as a substitute and played for over half an hour.
Juan Cuadrado Determined to Be Fit for the Serie A Clash Against Roma
Cuadrado did not feature in Inter’s Serie A victory against Torino last weekend.
He was one of the two injured players, alongside striker Marko Arnautovic.
Additionally, Cuadrado will not be available for tomorrow’s Champions League group match against Red Bull Salzburg.
However, as per the Gazzetta’s report, his recovery timeline is now just a matter of days or perhaps a week.
Therefore, there is a good possibility that he can rejoin the squad in time for the clash with Roma next Sunday.
This fixture holds significant importance for Cuadrado as a target return date.
Nevertheless, his fitness will be thoroughly evaluated, and if any doubts persist, he will not rush his comeback.
Fortunately, the Gazzetta considers this return date realistic.
