JMU Selected to Host Third College GameDay for Nov. 18 vs. App State

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The highly anticipated college football television program, ESPN’s College GameDay, will be returning to James Madison’s campus on Saturday, November 18 for its third appearance. JMU, ranked No. 21 with a 10-0 record, will be hosting App State (6-4) in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

College GameDay will be broadcasted on ESPN from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, live from the JMU Quad. The three-hour show will feature Lee Corso’s headgear prediction and discussions by ESPN GameDay analysts, college football insider Pete Thamel, reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims, along with college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin.

By hosting the show, JMU joins the ranks of Virginia Tech and becomes the third-most visited location by College GameDay in Virginia in recent years. This year, JMU is the first non-Power Five host site.

JMU, standing at 10-0, has been making headlines with frequent appearances on national networks. The Dukes are currently at No. 21 in the AP Coaches Polls and are one of only seven unbeaten teams in FBS football. Their impressive performance has positioned them as a top contender for one of FBS football’s coveted bowl games.
