The vibes are strong with the 2023-24 Boston Celtics so far.

The Celtics are 3-0 after wins over the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Washington Wizards to start their regular season. The C’s secured hard-fought victories against the Knicks and Heat, and then demolished the Wizards on Monday to maintain their perfect record.

Jayson Tatum and Derrick White played pivotal roles in the first two wins. Tatum scored a game-high 34 points at Madison Square Garden in the season opener, while White had an impressive performance with 28 points and three blocks in Friday’s home-opening win over the Heat.

Tatum was mic’d up for Game 1 in New York, while White wore a mic during his standout game in Miami. Both players provided highly entertaining content. Watch the highlights in the video player above.

In New York, Tatum jokingly teased his new teammate Jrue Holiday about his age, pointing out that the 33-year-old played against the now-retired Tracy McGrady early in his NBA career.

“You played against T-Mac? So you played against T-Mac and you play with me. You old,” Tatum bantered with Holiday.

In Boston, the typically reserved White showed his excitement by letting out primal screams after making crucial plays during the Miami game. White also provided motivation to his teammates on the bench, reminding them to focus on the defensive end. His passion and comfort in his role with the Celtics, after joining the team in a trade in February 2022, were evident.

The Celtics will continue to attract attention throughout the season as one of the top teams in basketball. Based on their first three games, it promises to be an exciting journey.
