While both teams have experienced early-season success, other sports have also given fans plenty to celebrate.
Rutgers volleyball, after a challenging year, has shown significant improvement. With nine wins already and on track for double-digit victories, the team’s recent weeks have instilled a sense of optimism for the program’s future.
On the other hand, men’s soccer has faced difficulties this season. However, goalkeeper Ciaran Dalton has stood out and given Rutgers fans something to look forward to each game.

Men’s Soccer
Record: 3-6-2
In the first few weeks of the 2023 campaign, Rutgers men’s soccer has struggled to maintain consistency. The Scarlet Knights have endured a tough stretch, losing their last three games against Northwestern and Ohio State. Nevertheless, goalkeeper Ciaran Dalton’s strong performances earned him the prestigious title of Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

While men’s soccer has struggled, women’s soccer has achieved more success, sitting slightly above .500. Their recent victory against Maryland, with Kylie Daigle leading in scoring, brings hope for improved playoff positioning. In conference play, the team holds a 2-3-1 record.
