With two weeks of NBA games in the books, evaluating players based on such a limited sample can be tricky. However, some players are showing concerning trends that could lead to ongoing struggles. Considering dropping certain players in favor of streaming options or those with more potential for the rest of the season may be worth considering at this point.
Andrew Wiggins hasn’t had the best start to the season, shooting just 41.5% from the floor and averaging only 10.8 points per game. His production in other categories has declined as well, making him a sit candidate and a potential player to move on from.
Nate Miller, despite some double-digit scoring performances, has yet to show a lot of upside. His lackluster game last weekend and the possibility of fewer opportunities to contribute in the future make him a riskier choice.
Max Strus had a strong start but has struggled to maintain consistent production. His subpar performances without double-doubles and poor three-point shooting are concerning, making it uncertain if he’s a must-roster player.
Harrison Barnes’ decreased shot volume and declining stats in various categories indicate early-season struggles. Despite improved shooting, his overall output has been disappointing, making him a candidate to consider letting go.
Mateusz Sochan has struggled with inconsistent scoring, shooting just 39.3% from the floor. While he shows promise in other categories, his unpredictability makes him a possible drop candidate.
