“If Steffi Graf leaves me, I get half her Slams”: Andre Agassi reveals tactic to beat Novak Djokovic’s record

Andre Agassi has a comical strategy to try and surpass Novak Djokovic’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles by convincing his wife, the tennis legend Steffi Graf, to leave him.

Former World No. 1 Agassi enjoyed a successful career in the 1990s and early 2000s, winning eight Grand Slam titles and seventeen Masters titles. He married 22-time Grand Slam champion Graf during this time, and they continue to be together today, even participating in Pickleball events together.

Meanwhile, current World No. 1 Djokovic has been making waves in the tennis world, recently equaling Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles at the 2023 US Open.

Agassi’s Playful Remark

During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show, the 53-year-old Agassi jokingly suggested that he could surpass Djokovic’s record if Graf were to leave him and share half of her titles in a divorce settlement. However, fans quickly pointed out that this would not be enough to beat Djokovic.

Graf, a former World No. 1, has her own impressive tennis career, having achieved the Golden Slam and an Olympic gold medal in the same year. Agassi and Graf are set to participate in the 2024 Pickleball Slam, where they will compete for a prize of $1 million.
