UFC lightweight Bobby Green is calling out his fellow fighters to prove their “gangster” credentials by stepping up on short notice in Texas.
With his opponent Dan Hooker out due to injury just 11 days before their scheduled bout at UFC on ESPN 52 in Austin, Texas, Green is hoping someone will take the challenge and fill the void.
Green, who has previously taken fights on short notice, challenged his peers to show their “gangster” qualities just like he has done throughout his career. Notably, he fought on just 10 days’ notice and even passed out due to two weeks’ notice, but he has done it all.
The UFC is actively seeking a replacement for Hooker, and several fighters have expressed their willingness to step up, including former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and others such as Jared Gordon and Terrance McKinney.
