The 2023-24 NBA season started off rocky for Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter, but he has since turned things around in impressive fashion.

On Wednesday night, Huerter scored 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting in the Kings’ 125-110 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena, continuing his recent hot streak.

In the previous game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Huerter drained six 3-pointers, and before that, he scored 28 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 10.

Speaking after the win, Huerter expressed the team’s confidence and emphasized the importance of good offense and ball movement in their recent success.

Huerter’s resurgence from a poor start to the season has been notable, particularly in his improved 3-point shooting, hitting 23 of 47 attempts from deep since his early struggles.

His recent scoring streak includes his third consecutive 20-point game and his seventh game with at least six 3-pointers.

But it wasn’t just Huerter who shined; Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox also had impressive performances, contributing to the Kings’ dominant win over the Lakers.

Sacramento, now on a four-game win streak, handed the Lakers their first home loss of the season.

Despite their recent success, coach Mike Brown made it clear that there is still room for improvement and emphasized the importance of focusing on the details to go from good to great.

The Kings will now take their winning streak to San Antonio as they prepare to face the Spurs in their next NBA In-Season Tournament clash.
