Discover instructions on altering the dimension of Notes attachments in iOS. In a separate post, we provided insights into how this can be achieved in iOS.
In the previous piece regarding adjusting Notes attachment sizes in macOS Sonoma, we explored customizing the display dimensions of images, links, and other attachments.
These same adaptations can also be applied in iOS and iPadOS 17, with the following example showcasing iPadOS.
Viewing attachments in Notes for iOS or iPadOS
Begin the process by launching the Notes app on the home screen of your device. Then, select a note from the iPadOS display or main Notes list in iOS to reveal the embedded attachments on the right side of the iPad display.
After selecting one or more attachments, a popup menu will appear, providing the option to alter sizes using the ‘Small View’ or ‘Large View’. The ‘Large View’ is more detailed, while the ‘Small View’ is more compact and requires less scrolling.
Changing all attachment display sizes at once
If you want to modify the dimensions of all attachments at once in a note, first choose ‘Select All’ from the popup menu followed by tapping the ellipsis button. From the menu displayed, you can then opt for ‘Attachment View->Set All to Small’ or ‘Set All to Large’ to make the changes.
Continue to use the ‘Set All to’ submenu to adjust all attachment sizes, regardless of the number of documents selected. Similar to macOS, the behavior in iOS and iPadOS is almost identical.
Although there are some drawbacks to the attachments resizing process in iOS or iPadOS, you can correct the size individually or collectively using the available options. It’s hoped that Apple will address these issues in the near future.
