Holland – Despite a slight delay, the Hope College men’s basketball team remains undefeated. The Flying Dutchmen triumphed over Hanover in overtime with a 76-73 victory at DeVos Fieldhouse, bringing their record to 4-0.
With just 26 seconds left in overtime and trailing 73-71, Hope’s Gabe Quillan made a game-changing 3-pointer, propelling the Flying Dutchmen into the lead.
More known for his inside game, Quillan’s 3-pointer was a crucial moment in his career.
Ultimately, Marcus Wourman’s two free throws sealed the victory as the Hope defense prevented Hanover from scoring in the final three possessions.
Quillan led Hope with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

He secured a score of 61-59 for Hope with 1:24 remaining in regulation, but a layup by Hanover’s Max Greenamoyer resulted in the game being tied and went into overtime.
Wourman scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds, and made two steals. Clayton Dykhouse scored 13 points, and Tanner Wiegerink added seven points with three blocks.
