Hofstra Squares Off Against Sacred Heart

Hofstra women’s basketball team is gearing up for an exciting game against Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Connecticut on November 19. After a strong victory over Delaware State, the team is looking to secure its third consecutive win.

The game will kick off at 2 p.m. inside the William H. Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center. Fans can catch the action live on NEC Front Row, or tune in to the audio-only broadcast on the HAWC by WRHU. In their recent win over Delaware State, Emma Von Essen led the team with 14 points, Zyheima Swint scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Ally Knights assisted on six baskets and Tionna Baker finished with eight points. The Pride is currently 2-1 for the season.

Sacred Heart, last season’s champions of the Northeast Conference, boasts a 2-1 record with Ny’Ceara Pryor leading the scoring with 13.7 points per game.

Sunday’s game marks the first encounter between Hofstra and Sacred Heart since 2019, where the Pioneers secured a 71-44 victory. Overall, Hofstra holds a 3-2 record against Sacred Heart.
